The Education Services department supports experiential learning, literacy, and academic competition.
- Outdoor Science Camp – 5th or 6th grades
- Trout in the Classroom – pending CDFW approval
- Eastern Sierra Watershed project – 2nd, 4th, 6-8th grades
- Taking Root – 3rd grade
- Branching Out – 5th grade

College and Career field trips and events for students include:
- 8th Grade Cerro Coso Day – annually in February
- 8th Grade UNR Trip – annually
- 5th Grade College & Career Day – annually in April
- 10th Grade College Trip – annually in October
Inyo County Superintendent of Schools office offers outreach, prevention, and intervention services to all students in Inyo County schools. The main goals of our Outreach, Prevention, and Intervention programs are to educate our youth regarding the pitfalls and hazards they often run into as they grow older, to familiarize them with their own vulnerabilities, and to support their efforts to resolve particularly difficult personal troubles.
Programs include:
- California Healthy Kids Survey
- Tobacco-Use and Prevention Education Education
- Sexual Health & HIV/AIDS instruction - 5th to 12th grades
- Alternative to Suspension supports
Family & Community Engagement activities include facilitating professional development workshops for school staff and educators, supporting use of pupil and campus data including student and family surveys, and connecting schools and community partner resources through the Community Compass
